QUALIFIED INFORMATIONObservatório SOFTEX is SOFTEX’s study and survey unit, being in charge of collecting, analyzing, organizing and disseminating data and information about software and IT services activities carried out both in Brazil and overseas. Its attributions also include proposing and developing new studies and methodologies, interacting with universities and research institutes on national and international levels and stimulating the creation of research groups on topics of interest.
The Observatório SOFTEX generates competitive and strategic intelligence for the software and IT services sector. This is made possible by an Information System which undergoes constant maintenance and updates, comprising reliable data from various official sources and market research. It´s main publication is the "Software and IT Services: The Brazilian Industry in Perspective", a very comprehensive analysis of the sector in the country periodically updated. It´s most recent version can be obtained here (after filling a basic form for future reference). Observatório SOFTEX also carries out projects providing consulting on demand.
